| | Butterfly Conservation: Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary and other species |
| In 2006 a project was set up at Cannock Chase to obtain a better level of monitoring of the Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary and identify where it was present so that this knowledge could be used to provide management recommendations to the two main land managers in the area (Staffordshire County Council and the Forestry Commission). |

| | Farming Floodplains for the Future |
| The key aim of the project is to develop an understanding of how the farmed landscape can be viably managed in ways that reduce flood risk downstream, while at the same time enhancing the natural environment. | The Staffordshire Barn Owl Action Group (BOAG) was set up in 2001 after it was estimated that there were only 30 breeding pairs of barn owls in the county.

| The project seeks to identify species-rich hedgerows and associated historic features within selected survey areas in South Staffordshire and Lichfield districts in order to determine their quality, quantity and condition. The study will provide baseline information and future protection and management through site designation, dissemination of information and management advice to the local authority, planners and landowners.

| | Brankley Wood Pasture Re-creation |
| This project, which was developed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust in partnership with the National Forest Company, aims to develop a new 41 hectare nature reserve in the Needwood Forest and fulfil a number of priority BAP habitat targets. The re-creation of wood pasture on this site will make a significant contribution towards the outstanding national habitat creation target within the UK BAP. |
